Najlepši leptir je ujedno i ugrožena vrsta.(u velikoj opasnosti da nestane) klimatcki uslovi su krivi za to . 

Prekrsni beli leptir sa 4 . crvena kruga.

Razmnožava se samo jednom godišnje , ženka u jesen polaže jaja ,  a u proleće se tek razvija gusenica . 

Živi na visinama od 1000. do 2000. metara . 

U Srbiji je zaštićena vrsta .
